Birch Grove

One of the first additions Bella made to the garden was a copse of paperbark silver birch trees, planted in memory of the silver birch forests that had surrounded her house outside Moscow. The underplanting has developed over time, and is now a wonderful mix of yellows and blues in spring, evolving to a fabulous mix of foliage and moving grasses later in the year as the canopy closes over.
